Faith and fear

There is just a thin line
that divides fear and faith.
We may not know it,
but we are always living in a cave
of darkness,
that is fearfulness.
We are lost, and empty inside
when there is no one by our sides.

With a hand that reaches out,
to grab us from within,
we reach the light at the end of the tunnel,
when we have faith in Him.
To cross the barrier of fear,
we have to learn to trust,
so that we'll have peace here,
within us, so in Him i trust!

CTs

Thank You for being there.
Today,
as i stared blankly at the sheet of paper
You gave me the inspiration,
And helped me to pen my thoughts.

I am grateful for Your presence in the cold,
when my brain froze,
but my heart felt warm.
Although i found the 2nd step difficult,
and i felt like giving up,
but i completed the race.

Could have done better if I had a jacket though.
Oh well, taking it a step at time,
as You have instructed!
Learning to trust.

A reflection of our lives

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised. - Job 1:21

God can take away so that there may be greater blessings to come. His ways are not our ways. Our lives are indeed surrounded by the 2 quotes above. The 2nd sentence sinks right into my heart. Many of our setbacks (especially for me this year) are our desires, hopes and dreams that were unfulfilled, but they may not have been His, for His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). We may never know His plans, but for each tiny step we take, He will lead us onto the next one, so that we may eventually be a blessing to ourselves and others around us. Thus, when he removes something or someone from our lives, we should not fret, but be grateful for the more exciting and bigger things and blessings to come.

We live by faith,
and not by sight.
In the darkness you are
By our side.

We live by faith,
and give you pride.
Forever you are worthy to be
Our light.

Our Parents were sent by God to look after us!

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?" At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow, a crow".

A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me>on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child". While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me person presentable in the society today". Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all goodand kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave."

Shattered dreams yet full of Hopes

Life in my CCA has just started and I will not let it end here. I was very upset and disappointed when i heard the news yesterday. Nothing seemed to be going right for me. Maybe controlling my emotions is kinda hard, and letting it out makes me feel better. Thank God for those who were there to comfort me in these dark times, especially my parents. But I thank Him the most for being there to guide the way for me. He probably has other better plans for me, which He wants me to fulfil. And i shouldnt be living my own life, but living the life He wants me to live, for His purpose. For in Christ alone, I place my trust! I will not let setbacks get to me.

On a lighter note, I dint screw up chem SPA today. YAY! =)

He will cast away all your worries

Philipians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

When we do not trust in Him, when we lose faith in thy first love, when we forget the purpose of His existence, we live a life of worries. Many people, including myself, worry about almost everything! But why worry, when God can cast away all your troubles. We just need to believe in Him. But first, Remember the height from which you have fallen! (Revelations 2:5) and repent, so that we may accept Him as our savior. Only then can we leave everything in His Holy hands, for He will dry every tear from our eyes. The verse above, clearly shows that when we trust, we live in peace forever! Praise the Lord!

Love, Your Dad, Almighty God

I really want to thank God for providing for me all these years, for carrying me on His back through all my troubles, and helping me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He gave everyone the greatest gift of all - His LOVE, by dying on the cross so that we may be cleansed. We have to be grateful for all that He has done for us.

I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back!

I am the truth, the light and the way. No one goes to the Father except through me (John 14:6)
