Thank God Its Friday

It's Friday today,
a load of my mind.
A lot of thing's been happening,
But He has been kind.

His burden is heavy,
my yoke is light.
For He took everything for me,
and made things right.

I have a lot to be grateful for,
He guided my path.
And i could not have asked for anything more
For He's My All in All.

Im looking forward to church,
to worship and praise Him,
for His Love and for never ever leaving me in the lurch. =D

Peace

Who says there can be peace and tranquility?
How is it possible when there are so many things to worry about?
The Bible told me so.
Peace will be with His children forever.

And that sums up the 5 important values that I treasure.
To Him be the glory.

Prayer

I need to pray, because I'm small (and You are great).
I need to pray, because I know very clearly,
that Your feelings and Your intentions mean the most to me.
I need to pray, and I can't deny it any longer.
I need to pray, because I need Your love and Your care.
You alone understand the paths that I have taken and what I have gone through.
There are some things that I can and only wish to share with You,
because You loved me more than anyone else ever could.
When my heart is sinking,
I know You will wipe away every tear from my eyes.
I will say this every morning that I live:
"Today, I will live for You and You alone."
You give me the strength that I need to live each day.
Your grace is enough to sustain me.

Love

Why did God take so much care to make creation glow
He could have made it black and white,
and we'ld have never known.
And what made God send Jesus to die on calvary,
of course it was this joyous thing I feel inside of me.
It can change a family, its already changed the world.
When Jesus brings it to our heart,
Heaven's banneries unfurl.
And once you start to share it, in His precious name.
You're glad to see your view of life will never be the same.
That's the Love of God, its never ending.
That's the Love of God, always forgiving.
He's always there, He never fails,
all He will do is Love forever,
and He Loves to share it,
That's the Love of God.

Blessed

When you meet others around you,
who are hurting, suffering, down and out
you finally realise how fortunate and blessed you are.
You have so many things others dont have,
and yet sometimes avarice strikes and you crave for more
But remember that everything you have does not belong to you,
it belongs to Him alone.
Everything you have on Earth is transient,
only He is real.
Everything He blesses you with,
be grateful for.
Everything you need,
ask Him and you shall be given.
But everything that you want, crave
remove it, remove the temptations of sin.
And you will be richly blessed by the grace of God.
I am blessed, and hope to be a blessing to others!

Hope

A hope is not a feeling, neither is it a dream.
Dreams are unrealistic, unfulfilled desires and cravings of the mind.
But hopes are real and attainable.
When you are certain of what you hope for, that's because you have faith.
For faith gives you hope.
What you hope for, you cannot see.
Not only do we hope for things to happen,
He hopes too.
He unleashes all hope on us, his children.
To bring forth glory and bear abundant fruit.
His hopes should be our hopes.

Happy Father's Day

My daddy is not perfect
After all he is completely human.
But he brought me up to who i am now
And i am ultimately grateful for his upbringing.

Happy Father's Day to all daddies out there who have raised their children to the best of their ability, just like my daddy has! =)

The Ching-Ping and I

The Movie Outing of the Year =P

Holiday fun

Its really nice to meet up with friends whom you havent talked to for a long while, just to hang out and have fun. Had a long and good chat with 2 of CLIQUE 2006 (aww, the rest couldnt make it). YOU ALL SERIOUSLY ROCK! =) Yeap, i have missed these people loads: Ching, Ping, Mud,Joiz. Since we split up in JC, there seemed to be hardly anytime for us to be together like we once were in Sec 4, yet, we have managed to keep in contact, celebrating each other's 17th birthday as it came and went. Thanks for all the wonderful times we had together.

Smsed Ching to asked her if she wanted to watch a movie, and just like that, she agreed. Met up with Ching for lunch at taka delifrance, chatting about school life, relationships and church. Yay, im glad u are just a call away. Then, we walked over to lido, and booked tickets for 3 for Fantastic 4! (for 3, cos Ping came much later - she din see the sms LOL). During the waiting time, we sat outside lido and mugged =P. Actually mugging seems fun when u are with close frens, and there is a chance to chat when u get bored.

Anyway, the movie was great. Truth be told, im not the kind who likes to watch action-packed shows based on comics like this and Superman, but this movie was indeed worth the money. And best of all, it taught the most important life lessons - 1) SACRIFICE and 2) There is always a choice in life. When silver surfer was caught, invisible girl questioned him, and was told he was under orders to destroy the earth, and that He had no choice. But, invisible girl rebuked him and told him that there were always choices in life. In the end, the silver surfer turned against his master, and sacrificed his life to heal invisible girl as well as to save the planet from destruction. As he was about to risk it all, he said (to Mr Fantastic), "Tell her she's right, there is always a choice in life". Well-said. I thought this was the most impactful statement made in the entire movie.
Linking this to the christian life, people always say they have no choice but to do this and that, and sin against God, but there is always a choice. It's whether or not u make the better decision. Also, sacrifice is what God has always been talking about in the bible. Jesus sacrificed His life, for the atonement of our sins. But are we ready to be a part of the sacrifice, by giving up our current lives and taking up the cross to follow him?

Ok, so after the movie, we took ages to decide where to eat and ended up at Mos. And we took lotsa pics after that haha! Yay, thanks guys =) Oops kinda got problem with e pics. Hmm later then.

On a lighter note, the children are so cute. I made a new little friend. He sat on my lap, clapped my hands, and hugged me. These kids, they really make my day, and warm my heart. I thank God for them!

For God wants us to be humble

This is a very good story to remind mankind not to be self-centered.
Instead, be humble and caring towards others, show love and care.

Because God first loved us........

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small desert-like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other resourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing the first man prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. "My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,"the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered, and so he does not deserve anything." "Tell me," the first man asked the voice,"what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?" "He prayed that all your prayers be answered." For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

Why?

Sometimes, i question why things occur this way. I could have been somewhere different now, but i am not. But all things happen for a reason. We may not know this, but God has a purpose for all of us. Do not question your life and His decisions. I need to learn to, like everyone else. Its human nature to question our lives. Why, why, and why? But faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see. Heb 11:1 He is the shepherd, and I'm the lamb. Light the path for me, Lord, so i may learn to follow.

Class outing

Whee...

Class outing was a success. Although only 8 ppl turned up, but im sure everyone had fun. We had it at east coast park. If it were a town outing, it would have been divided cos the guys would have wanted to lan, and the girls shopping. Anyway, most of us chose to rollerblade, while a few went cycling. Haha, got a chance to practise my skills after approx 4 years? Not bad, surprisingly can still rem how to rollerblade. Wow, it costs like $12 bucks for 2hrs man, and a hole in my pocket. But the fun-factor was 5 thumbs up, so worth it! Lunch at macs, then somehow all the girls ordered fillet-o-fish, so we took a pic with that. =) After lunch, all full and satiated, ended up playing volleyball, which turned out to be a ball catching session cos everybody whacked so hard and the ball flew everywhere. Hmm, for some reason, we stopped, and ended up playing cards cos the girls started it, and the guys came to join. Played dai-dee and i was on a winning streak! Not bad, class outing for more than 5 hours, plus it was dtz's bday. Only rem to wish him when we were leaving. Happy Bday TZ!
