Love as He loved, Give as He gave
He forgave us by dying on the cross for our sins.
Christ taught us the power of LOVE and of FORGIVENESS.
It's not easy to forgive and forget; to live and let live.
But i shall leave it all behind me.
I forgive easily, but i do not necessarily forget.
Stop testing my patience, and stretching me to the limits.
For even the strongest of ties can break.
And wounds can heal, but scars remain.
Oh help me God to forgive and to love the people you created like You did.

A Timely Word
And the heading read, "Honour your parents'
How timely.
Was just pouting and sulking over a decision made.
But His word made up my mind.
Yes. I shall respect authority.
After all, all decisions made are for my own good.
Shall do what i have to do...
I'm glad You taught me a lesson.
You really woke me up.

I realise I have not turned my eyes to You these few days.
I realise I have relied on myself for comfort and not You.
I realise that I need You more and more in my life.
I realise that Your grace is always sufficient.
I realise that I have to remind myself that I live for You alone.
I realise I am not perfect, only You are.
I realise I need to surrender and let Your spirit fill me.
I realise that life is worth living with You.
Let me realise more of my potential when You are in me.
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord.
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Anyway, a side note to a sis, who touched my heart when God spoke through her to me. I thank God for a friend who has been always there for me (u know who you are!)

Food Day
Friday, June 29, 2007
Thank God Its Friday
a load of my mind.
A lot of thing's been happening,
But He has been kind.
His burden is heavy,
my yoke is light.
For He took everything for me,
and made things right.
I have a lot to be grateful for,
He guided my path.
And i could not have asked for anything more
For He's My All in All.
Thank God its friday,
Im looking forward to church,
to worship and praise Him,
for His Love and for never ever leaving me in the lurch. =D

Faithful Father
This kind of grace
I know I still break Your heart
And yet You run to welcome me
This is my song of praise to You
For who You are and all that You do
From the moment my life began
You have been faithful
Father, I love the way You hold me close
And say my name
I know when my life is through
My heart will find its home in You
This is my song of praise to You
For who You are and all that You do
From the moment my life began
You have been faithful
Forever faithful

Peace
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 4:6-7
Who says there can be peace and tranquility?
How is it possible when there are so many things to worry about?
The Bible told me so.
Peace will be with His children forever.
And that sums up the 5 important values that I treasure.
To Him be the glory.

Prayer
I need to pray, because I know very clearly,
that Your feelings and Your intentions mean the most to me.
I need to pray, and I can't deny it any longer.
I need to pray, because I need Your love and Your care.
You alone understand the paths that I have taken and what I have gone through.
There are some things that I can and only wish to share with You,
because You loved me more than anyone else ever could.
When my heart is sinking,
I know You will wipe away every tear from my eyes.
I will say this every morning that I live:
"Today, I will live for You and You alone."
You give me the strength that I need to live each day.
Your grace is enough to sustain me.

Love
He could have made it black and white,
and we'ld have never known.
And what made God send Jesus to die on calvary,
of course it was this joyous thing I feel inside of me.
It can change a family, its already changed the world.
When Jesus brings it to our heart,
Heaven's banneries unfurl.
And once you start to share it, in His precious name.
You're glad to see your view of life will never be the same.
That's the Love of God, its never ending.
That's the Love of God, always forgiving.
He's always there, He never fails,
all He will do is Love forever,
and He Loves to share it,
That's the Love of God.

Blessed
who are hurting, suffering, down and out
you finally realise how fortunate and blessed you are.
You have so many things others dont have,
and yet sometimes avarice strikes and you crave for more
But remember that everything you have does not belong to you,
it belongs to Him alone.
Everything you have on Earth is transient,
only He is real.
Everything He blesses you with,
be grateful for.
Everything you need,
ask Him and you shall be given.
But everything that you want, crave
remove it, remove the temptations of sin.
And you will be richly blessed by the grace of God.
I am blessed, and hope to be a blessing to others!

Hope
Dreams are unrealistic, unfulfilled desires and cravings of the mind.
But hopes are real and attainable.
When you are certain of what you hope for, that's because you have faith.
For faith gives you hope.
What you hope for, you cannot see.
Not only do we hope for things to happen,
He hopes too.
He unleashes all hope on us, his children.
To bring forth glory and bear abundant fruit.
His hopes should be our hopes.

Happy Father's Day
After all he is completely human.
But he brought me up to who i am now
And i am ultimately grateful for his upbringing.
Happy Father's Day to all daddies out there who have raised their children to the best of their ability, just like my daddy has! =)
Way Back Into Love
Hugh Grant – Way Back Into Love lyrics
I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past
I just can't seem to move on
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but i just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
Oh oh oh
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end
Oh oh oh

Holiday fun
Smsed Ching to asked her if she wanted to watch a movie, and just like that, she agreed. Met up with Ching for lunch at taka delifrance, chatting about school life, relationships and church. Yay, im glad u are just a call away. Then, we walked over to lido, and booked tickets for 3 for Fantastic 4! (for 3, cos Ping came much later - she din see the sms LOL). During the waiting time, we sat outside lido and mugged =P. Actually mugging seems fun when u are with close frens, and there is a chance to chat when u get bored.
Anyway, the movie was great. Truth be told, im not the kind who likes to watch action-packed shows based on comics like this and Superman, but this movie was indeed worth the money. And best of all, it taught the most important life lessons - 1) SACRIFICE and 2) There is always a choice in life. When silver surfer was caught, invisible girl questioned him, and was told he was under orders to destroy the earth, and that He had no choice. But, invisible girl rebuked him and told him that there were always choices in life. In the end, the silver surfer turned against his master, and sacrificed his life to heal invisible girl as well as to save the planet from destruction. As he was about to risk it all, he said (to Mr Fantastic), "Tell her she's right, there is always a choice in life". Well-said. I thought this was the most impactful statement made in the entire movie.
Linking this to the christian life, people always say they have no choice but to do this and that, and sin against God, but there is always a choice. It's whether or not u make the better decision. Also, sacrifice is what God has always been talking about in the bible. Jesus sacrificed His life, for the atonement of our sins. But are we ready to be a part of the sacrifice, by giving up our current lives and taking up the cross to follow him?
Ok, so after the movie, we took ages to decide where to eat and ended up at Mos. And we took lotsa pics after that haha! Yay, thanks guys =) Oops kinda got problem with e pics. Hmm later then.

It's The Little Things
Over the years, I've grown to be a part of you
You've cared for me and opened the way to a happy and beautiful life
You make me feel warm and safe and give me hope for brighter days
It's the little things that we share, the love and joy that's in the air
The children's laughter everywhere, and all our favourite things
Over the years, I've grown accustomed to your ways
And no matter where I'll be, it warms my heart to know that
You're always here for me
Over the years, I've learnt we share a destiny
And no matter how good others may be
No one cares like you care for me
Cause deep down inside I feel you're a part of me
My family, the place that I call my Home
Oh, how fortunate I am to be born into such a loving family =)

We are His Children
left me stunned today!
He asked me what was the Rapture
and i din know wad to say.
In the end,
i turned to ask
a fren
who gave me an answer.
Only then could i tell the little boy.
I feel ashamed, and sorry that i know so little about You! I need the wisdom and strength and guidance.
On a lighter note, the children are so cute. I made a new little friend. He sat on my lap, clapped my hands, and hugged me. These kids, they really make my day, and warm my heart. I thank God for them!

For God wants us to be humble
Instead, be humble and caring towards others, show love and care.
Because God first loved us........
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small desert-like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other resourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing the first man prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that his wife and he could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from Heaven booming,"Why are you leaving your companion on the island?" "My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,"the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered, and so he does not deserve anything." "You have mistaken!" the voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings." "Tell me," the first man asked the voice,"what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?" "He prayed that all your prayers be answered." For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.
Philippians 2:3-4
3 Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vain glory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,4 each looking out not for his own interests, but (also) everyone for those of others.
1 Corinthians 1:31
31 Let him who boasts boast of the Lord.

Impossible is Nothing
just bow ur head,
and pray,
for God to guide the way.
I surrender.
Let's move on.
Never give up for God is on our side.
And nothing is impossible with Him.
Count your blessings,
not your weaknesses.
Live the life God wants us to live:
more of Him, and less of me.
Jesus loves me, this I know,
For the Bible tells me so!
God loves the little children,
all the children of the World!

Faith and fear
that divides fear and faith.
We may not know it,
but we are always living in a cave
of darkness,
that is fearfulness.
We are lost, and empty inside
when there is no one by our sides.
With a hand that reaches out,
to grab us from within,
we reach the light at the end of the tunnel,
when we have faith in Him.
To cross the barrier of fear,
we have to learn to trust,
so that we'll have peace here,
within us, so in Him i trust!

CTs
Today,
as i stared blankly at the sheet of paper
You gave me the inspiration,
And helped me to pen my thoughts.
I am grateful for Your presence in the cold,
when my brain froze,
but my heart felt warm.
Although i found the 2nd step difficult,
and i felt like giving up,
but i completed the race.
Could have done better if I had a jacket though.
Oh well, taking it a step at time,
as You have instructed!
Learning to trust.

A reflection of our lives
God can take away so that there may be greater blessings to come. His ways are not our ways. Our lives are indeed surrounded by the 2 quotes above. The 2nd sentence sinks right into my heart. Many of our setbacks (especially for me this year) are our desires, hopes and dreams that were unfulfilled, but they may not have been His, for His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). We may never know His plans, but for each tiny step we take, He will lead us onto the next one, so that we may eventually be a blessing to ourselves and others around us. Thus, when he removes something or someone from our lives, we should not fret, but be grateful for the more exciting and bigger things and blessings to come.
We live by faith,
and not by sight.
In the darkness you are
By our side.
We live by faith,
and give you pride.
Forever you are worthy to be
Our light.

Our Parents were sent by God to look after us!
An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?" At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me>on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child". While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
So..If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me person presentable in the society today". Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all goodand kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave."

He will cast away all your worries
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
When we do not trust in Him, when we lose faith in thy first love, when we forget the purpose of His existence, we live a life of worries. Many people, including myself, worry about almost everything! But why worry, when God can cast away all your troubles. We just need to believe in Him. But first, Remember the height from which you have fallen! (Revelations 2:5) and repent, so that we may accept Him as our savior. Only then can we leave everything in His Holy hands, for He will dry every tear from our eyes. The verse above, clearly shows that when we trust, we live in peace forever! Praise the Lord!

Love God as He loves YOU
All the colors of the rainbow
All the voices of the wind
Every dream that reaches out
That reaches out to find where love begins
Every word of every story
Every star in every sky
Every corner of creation lives to testify
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love
I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough
With every breath I take
I will give thanks to god above
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love
From the mountains to the valleys
From the rivers to the sea
Every hand that reaches out
Every hand that reaches out to offer peace
Every simple act of mercy
Every step to kingdom come
All the hope in every heart will speak what love has done

The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee Inspirational story
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He
then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under thetable and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want youto recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---God, your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would stillbefull.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.
The sand is everything else---the small stuff. "If you put thesand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time andenergy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.Play with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit withgrandparents. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the houseand fix the disposal.Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand ."One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Easter Sunday - Give thanks to Him for He died for our sins
"Friends are God's way of taking care of us."
This was written by a Metro Denver Hospice Physician:
I just had one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and wanted to share it with my family and dearest friends. I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter and die - I barely managed to coast, cursing, into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the "quickie mart" building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a Gas pump, so I got out to see if she was okay.
When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel. At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95. I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept saying " don't want my kids to see me crying," so we stood on the other side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to California and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, "And you were praying?" That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, "He heard you, and He sent me."
I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to the kids in the Car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little. She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City . Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years. They lived in California and said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there. So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.
I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, "So, are you like an angel or something?" This definitely made me cry. I said, "Sweetie, at this time of year angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people." It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.
Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings... Psalms 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." This prayer is powerful and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards.
When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, could You please get that for me?"

True Colours
You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness there inside you
Makes you feel so small
But I see your true colours
Shining throughI see your true colours
That's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow
Show me a smile then,
And don't be unhappy, can't remember when
I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you've taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I'll be there
And I see your true colours
Shining throughI see your true colours
That's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow
OhhhhI can't remember
When I last saw you laugh
If this world makes you crazy
And you've taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I'll be there
And I see your true colours
Shining throughI see your true colours
That's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow
I see your
True colours shining through
See your true colours
That's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
Your true colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

JC Life
Orientation seemed eons ago, but i totallly agree with our OGLs. It was and will still continue to be the best part of our entire life in JC. It feels like only yesterday that we began learning our school song, our batch song, and our batch dance based on the theme L'audeamus, where most of us embarrassed ourselved learning the dance moves. I can still vividly remember all the games we played - the war games, station games and external activies. SVCK rocks the house! We came in first from the location we were assigned to go. Anyway, at least my og is still bonded. We meet every morning at the l'odge and quite a few people turn up. Hope this can last til the end of the year =)
Now on to my class! SO3J rocks as well! =) At the start, our class had a gender divide. the boys would sit at one table, while the girls would sit at another. But now, i am glad that our class is really bonded. We met up 2x so far in school to play sports. Its called the 3J sports day every saturday haha. I have gotten used to the lecture-tutorial system although it may be quite tiring for us to climb to the 7th floor for lessons almost everyday. (the lifts are useless, so few ppl can fit into 1 lift).
CCA! am now in floorball. Still havent gotten to play much yet. Our first actual training starts on mon and i will be getting my stick on wed. (it costs me a hefty $128 bucks). Hope that cca trainings will be fun, and the team be bonded as well.
